Nigel Farage Claims Teachers of ‘Poisoning Our Kids’ on Race Issues

The political figure stated that teachers would go on strike shortly after a Reform UK election victory, charging that they are “poisoning our kids” by telling students that black pupils are victims and white children oppressors.

At a gathering for a private US Christian college, the politician expressed his viewpoint on British schools, stating that the “radical left-wing” had “taken over schooling”.

“I’m anticipating a teachers’ strike very quickly after securing a victory,” Farage commented during a Q&A session.

“They are poisoning our kids. They are telling them to feel guilt about their nation. They are telling an eight-year-old black child that he is a victim and little Oliver, who is white, who is eight that he is a perpetrator. They create division, instead of fostering unity. They are feeding this negative culture.”

Reacting to Farage’s claims, the head of a major education union rejected the idea that the education system was controlled by Marxists as “nonsense”. He pointed out that industrial action must relate to educators’ working conditions, and doubted whether Reform would attack these immediately upon entering government.

“The politician has crafted his political career on coded rhetoric and now, similar to other figures, he is lining up teachers and their unions for a fight,” the union leader said.

“This is highly reckless. I don’t – and nor does my union – advocate such divisive theories as he’s suggesting … Should he become prime minister he would undermine state services, including education … and he would be a disaster for students and learning.”

The party, which is leading the polls by a significant margin, has not set out much detail on its educational plans and does not appear to have appointed an education spokesperson.

However, his comments suggested the party would overhaul the educational framework. Farage declared: “We have got a massive job with schooling – truly monumental. And, it won’t happen quickly; it requires years, a long-term effort to reform.”

He stated that younger generations are receptive to analytical thought, but millennials were “absolutely hopeless”.

Honoring Charlie Kirk, Farage said: “My goal for schooling is to teach critical thinking – to educate individuals that multiple perspectives exist and they should decide for themselves as opposed to current practices where one is virtuous and one is evil. This is a huge undertaking in both Britain and America.”

Reform has previously clashed with the UK’s largest teaching union, after Kebede called the party “extremist and prejudiced” and described the leader as “a poundshop Donald Trump”.

The politician has charged the union head with being “an avowed radical” … an individual intent that our children should be poisoned through education, their minds should be poisoned about everything to do with this country” and has argued that the organization seeks to brainwash teenagers against Reform.

Roughly a million individuals are employed in education in the UK, with educators comprising half and the remainder being assistants and administrative personnel. The major education union has hundreds of thousands of members.

National strikes over educators’ salaries and work environment in recent years caused widespread disruption in schools and extensive missed instruction for students.

During the American gathering, the Reform leader also pledged to help spread the digital courses of the Christian college in the UK. He said organizations like it were “part of the fightback”, noting: “I am serious. I’ll assist garner hundreds of thousands, if not millions of youth to these educational programs. I make that commitment now and I will follow through.”

The college, a religious educational establishment, offers free courses. According to its online description: “A scientific, literary, theological, political, and moral education is necessary for personal happiness and to perpetuate the blessings of freedom. The college furnishes these excellent programs for free to every interested learner.”
