Actor Rejects Anti-Vaccine Stance Following Lending His Voice To Contentious Pandemic Documentary

Liam Neeson has given his vocal talents to a feature-length documentary that questions the efficacy of vaccines and lauds one-time government figure the political figure.

The Feature's Disputed Foundation

Named "Plague of Corruption," the project is inspired by a popular book co-authored by a controversial scientist, who gained notoriety during the health crisis for allegations that Covid was a result of a bad strain of the influenza shot.

Her co-author, Kent Heckenlively, has penned books with controversial media personality the Infowars host. Heckenlively recently posted praising Neeson's involvement in the documentary.

A Strong Rebuttal

The team of the actor have released a statement pushing back against claims that he holds anti-vax sentiments.

"Many understand that unethical practices might be present within the pharmaceutical industry, but that cannot be conflated with opposition to vaccines," the response states. "Liam never has been, and is not, anti-vaccination. His considerable work with the UN children's agency highlights his enduring support for global immunisation initiatives."

The response noted that the star did not shape the film's messaging and that questions about its assertions should be directed to the filmmakers.

Major Claims In the Feature

In the film, the narration spoken by Neeson includes several strong points:

  • It suggests that pro-vaccine voices have demanded "complete compliance" to health authorities.
  • It posits that "research has become highly influenced by politics."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is featured saying, "The big problem with vaccines is that they are not safely tested."
  • The narration also criticizes Covid lockdowns, arguing they caused severe distress that resulted in thousands of lives.
  • Concerning Covid vaccines, it mentions a view that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "risky trials."

Previous Controversy and Ongoing Issues

It includes a historical film about clinical trials on children, which was subsequently the subject of a BBC apology by the broadcaster for violations of guidelines.

Last month, the political figure directed the CDC to revise its official position that there is no causal relationship between immunizations and autism. This claim is echoed in the film, contrary to a new report from the global health body confirming no evidence has been found.

A Past Position of Support

Standing in contrast to the film's narrative, Neeson has previously voiced strong support for vaccines in his capacity as a charity ambassador.

Previously, he described vaccines as "an extraordinary triumph," adding that "The conversation about vaccines in lately has forgotten how much benefit they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in history."

"Plague of Corruption" concludes with Neeson's script saying, "This marks not the finish of our story. This is the dawn of a different phase."
